La canción One More Night ha sido compuesta por Adam Levine, Shellback, Max Martin y Savan Kotecha, y producida por Shellback and Martin. Se trata de una canción pop en la que se percibe una fuerte influencia del reggae, sobre todo en los ritmos infundidos por la percusión que en muchas ocasiones incitan al baile. La letra trata sobre las contradicciones que surgen entre el cuerpo y la mente, donde uno puede no llevarse bien con alguien y sin embargo estar deseando pasar con él o ella una noche más (One More Night).
La mayoría de las críticas recibidas por la canción han sido positivas, destacando y felicitando la mayoría de ellas la influencia reggae en la misma. No obstante, algunas críticas han señalado que en la melodía de One More Night se percibe cierta falta de identidad. A pesar de ello la canción alcanzó a finales de septiembre de 2012 el número uno en los Billboard Hot 100 y el número 2 en la lista equivalente de Canadá. Conviene remarcar que se trata del single de mayor éxito de Maroon 5 en la Billboard Hot 100, habiendo permanecido nueve semanas consecutivas como número uno.
Maroon 5 presentó la canción por primera vez en directo durante un concierto en el Revel Casino y Hotel de Atlantic City, New Jersey.
En España se encuentra actualmente en el puesto cinco de Los 40 Principales. En nuestra opinión se trata de una bonita canción con un ritmo bastante veraniego. El manejo del bajo por parte de Mickey Madden es firme, por otro lado los ostinatos dirigidos por James Valentine son dinámicos y diversos. Matt Flynn establece algunos ritmos realmente sorprendentes y P. J. Morton al teclado se muestra vibrante. En el centro de esta magnificencia instrumental surge Levine, que en nuestra opinión alcanza con esta canción el estatus de algunas leyendas musicales como Bono o Anthony Kiedis.

El video oficial de la canción fue lanzado el 25 de junio de 2012. En dicho vídeo Levine representa un boxeador que también trabaja para poder mantener a su novia y a su bebé. El boxeo parece tomarle demasiado tiempo y, aunque le aleja progresivamente de su novia y su hija a la que no consigue darle la estabilidad financiera necesaria, al final novia e hija le abandonan.
